Great Lakes Cotton
Great Lakes is based in Sub-Saharan Africa, and comprises farming, ginning, logistics and quality control operations throughout Uganda, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Zambia and and South Africa. A vertically integrated infrastructure means Great Lakes controls the quality throughout the production process, from defining the variety of seed planted to custom-ginning the cotton.

Plexus Mozambique
The Plexus Mozambique Joint Venture acquired the ginning assets at Montepuez in 2000. The uniquely favourable climatic and agronomic conditions, a new treated seed variety and the implementation of strict quality and contamination-control procedures resulted in a level of production that had doubled by 2004. Management targeted a doubling again within three years. Such growth demonstrates Plexus' success in building working partnerships.
